Blind British man in world’s first operation to deliver modified DNA to his eyes.

(Re-post from The Telegraph newspaper, UK.) Last Thursday a 29-year old with Retinitis pigmentosa had DNA delivered to his eyes in the hope that this will affect the progress of this blinding disease. Retinitis pigmentosa is a progressive disease which may slowly blind sufferers over decades.
