EyeNote and Ideal are both currency identifier apps for use on smartphones. There is also a free talking money reader available through regional Talking Book Libraries, but it’s finicky to use for people with diminished touch. The American Council of the Blind won their suit against the Treasury in 2008, but bills with tactile markings seem to have moved further into an uncertain future.
